Summary

The Part 1 of this story ,In the summer of 1922, Nick Carraway moves to Long Island's West Egg, finding himself living next door to the mysterious and immensely wealthy Jay Gatsby. Nick is quickly drawn into the glamorous yet superficial world of his cousin, Daisy, and her arrogant, unfaithful husband, Tom. After attending one of Gatsby's legendary, lavish parties, Nick finally meets his enigmatic neighbor. Soon, Nick discovers the truth behind Gatsby's extravagance: every party and display of wealth is a desperate, calculated attempt to win back his lost love—Daisy.
