Summary

A Christmas Carol tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, a cold-hearted and miserly businessman who despises Christmas and human kindness. On Christmas Eve, he is visited by the ghost of his former partner, Jacob Marley, who warns him to change his ways or suffer eternal punishment. Scrooge is then guided by three spirits: the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come. Through these visits, Scrooge revisits his lonely childhood, witnesses the warmth and generosity of others despite hardship, and sees the grim future awaiting him if he does not change. Deeply moved, Scrooge awakens on Christmas morning transformed. He embraces generosity, compassion, and joy, becoming a better man and spreading kindness to those around him.
